Part-Time Event Helper — Join the Little Wild herd
A hands-on, per-event job helping us bring the little farm to birthdays, weddings, schools and celebrations across Northern Virginia.
About the role
This is a part-time, per-event role. On an event day you'll help us load up the trailer at the farm, drive out and set up the pens, then help run the petting experience — keeping the animals happy, comfortable and fed, and keeping guests smiling and safe. When the party winds down, we pack everything up, get the animals settled and head home to the farm.
Most events fall on weekends, with the occasional weekday school or community event. Hours vary week to week depending on the calendar, so it's a wonderful fit for someone who wants flexible, outdoorsy work alongside a very sweet herd.
Pay
Competitive hourly wage.
What we're looking for
Reliable transportation
Required — you'll meet us at the farm or at the event.
Gentle with animals
Calm, kind hands around goats, sheep, bunnies and birds. Experience is a plus, not a must.
Happy outdoors
Able to lift, carry and be on your feet outside for a few hours.
Dependable and punctual
Events start on time, so we need someone we can count on.
Warm with families
Friendly and patient with little kids and their grown-ups.
