Are the animals safe with children?

Yes. Every animal is hand-raised, fully socialized from birth, and chosen for their calm temperament. A trained handler supervises all interactions, but adult supervision of children is required at all times — guests interact with the animals at their own risk.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. Every customer signs a short liability waiver during booking that covers assumption of risk, supervision, animal interaction rules, and weather policy. You can read the full waiver any time on our Liability Waiver page.

What about hand washing and sanitation?

Accepted Answer

Hand sanitizer is provided for guests during the event. We also strongly recommend that all guests wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water after interacting with the animals.

What ages is this best for?

All ages! We've hosted toddlers through grandparents. For very young children (under 3), we recommend starting with our calmer animals like Bacon (our Kunekune pig) or Tamagotchi (our chick). Adult supervision is required for all minors.

Do you travel? What's your service area?

We serve Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and most of Maryland. Each package includes a generous travel radius; beyond that we charge $1.50/mile from Fairfax, VA.

Question 6

How much space is needed?

We can set up in a backyard, driveway, garage, classroom, gym, or open field. We need roughly a 15x15 ft area for our standard pen — but we'll adapt.

Question 7

Are the animals vaccinated and licensed?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All animals are current on vaccinations and regular vet care. We're fully licensed and carry commercial liability insurance — documentation available on request.

What happens if it rains?

We can usually relocate to a covered area (garage, porch, classroom). In severe weather, Little Wild Mobile Farm may reschedule the event at our discretion to keep guests, animals, and staff safe — we'll work with you on a new date.

Question 9

How far in advance should we book?

For weekend dates in spring/summer, 4–6 weeks is ideal. For weekday school visits, 2–3 weeks. Last-minute? Always reach out — we sometimes have openings.

Question 10

Can we request specific animals?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Tell us who your guest of honor is and we'll do our best to bring them. Most packages include 2–4 animals; the Deluxe brings everyone available.

Do you handle setup and cleanup?

Always. We arrive 30–45 minutes early, set up a clean and beautifully presented pen, and pack everything out — leaving no trace behind.
